Fish Factory- Salt Rock

Lovely little fish restaurant/take-away.I was really happy with the food.It was quite tasty.Oh and super quick. We just sat down and the food was practically ready, fresh off the grill.Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Absolutely ruined my mom's 70th birthday day. What was meant to be a nice lunch left us feeling angry and extremely disappointed. Having never been to this fish shop before we decided to give it a try. We asked about the portion sizes and were told that they were large. I mentioned that it was my mom's 70th birthday and that I was treating her to lunch (like they cared). We went with hake and chips at R95 each! The lady didn't ask us if we wanted it to be fried or grilled. We sat down and were brought two of the most pathetic pieces of hake I have ever seen. My poor mom was given the smallest of the two fish. We each received a small handful of chips. The fish shop up the road charges R80 for a hake and chips and the portion sizes are generous. We left still hungry, angry, disappointed, and feeling like we were taken for an absolute ride! Needless to say, we will never recommend this place or set foot back in that shop again. More could be said but let's leave it at that.

Not a fish person but was pleasantly surprised on how tasty the food was.Will definitely go again to try all the dishes

The new Motto of management is “. It’s on its way”. Waited an hour for food. 4 out of six meals delivered “It’s on its way”. When we finally received the food it was not bad.It would be nice if the management delivered a high level of service instead of making jokes about delivery. “ It’s on its way”

Perfect place to enjoy fish. Great value for money and very tasty. We had grilled hake and calamari, both delicious

What a wonderful fish and chips little store, fresh crispy hake with super crispy chips and the necessary accompaniments on table. Place was clean, service quick and friendly. Will return

The fish & chips portions are small, quality questionable. and worth less than R45.00 paid R80.00 each x5. Use your well earned money at John Dorry rather.

Great Food!! Freshest Fish and Calamari Ever, the only fresher would be still swimming!! Haha, Definitely worth the Sunday Drive From Durban. The Staff are always Kind and Friendly.

Worst fish and chips ever, in my entire life !!! Paid over R350 Not happy. Fish factory Ballito way more superior should have gone there instead, not happy. Disgraceful
