This is the Bastion of Deaf S A and also the place where hearing people as well as caregivers of deaf people can learn sign language. Classes are given on different days at different levels. I attended classes on Tuesdays in Intermediate and beginners levels. I can highly recommend learning this handy language and help raise awareness of deaf people in your communities. An annual deaf walk takes place in November each year to help raise awareness of the deaf. Hearing people come and participate and 2019 had a great turnout. I support Deaf SA and would highly recommend sign language by June for those who want to learn the language.
