Pelican Island

This place is not usually full of people. It is very good for family chilling day. It is very quiet and clean. Perfect place for swimming.

So tranquil & serene - beautiful for watching the sunset, spotting dolphins playing in the small waves - my happy place.

Great for family outing. Could use some security patrolling. No restrooms. Great for fishing and kiddies to swim - no big waves. Save to swim. Bring your own chairs and umbrellas for some shade. Very busy - local attraction. Come early for good parking and picnic spot. Can see harbour and boats from here. Great view points. Great sunsets.

It was really nice and quiet. The only thing is the road connecting the island is too bad. Needs to be fixed.

Really relaxing - family, friends, braai how ever, harbour official's need to get a program in place to keep it neat... or they will loose holiday makers...

Beautifull island, the roads are a bit rough, for your normal cars. Needs some TLC.

Very peaceful and clean. The beach is nice because there aren't any big waves so it's safe for children to swim. The only problem I had was that there weren't any toilets, no security, no life gaurds and enough bins. But other than that, I love it. Bring an umbrella and some sunscreen.

Beautiful place to relax with the family.Plenty of shade and water was pleasant.The annoyance of some partygoers with incessant repetitive noise they call music is always expected to intrude into your area of choice. A sea of broken glass and litter can also be expected amongst some left over bones from someone's braai (barbeque). This evening was interrupted by some morons chasing a hippo back into the water towards our direction forcing us to pack up and leave or risk a charge from the resident sea cow.We'll definitely come back to this place when the regulars learn to stop relieving themselves where they eat.4 stars for the beauty of the place.Let down by the people that use the place.

Love the island , pity us humans can't keep it clean for the next person. Simple rule clean up after and leave it how you expect to find it.
