Love this SPCA! The staff are very friendly and helpful and you can see they really care for the animals. Nice and clean and feels like home. Got my beautiful baby girl kitty cat from them and so glad I did. Please remember that they take any donations, be it food or old clothes or books, please remember them when you're throwing out things that you don't need. Great experiences at the Alberton SPCA!

Dogs left in treacherous conditions after it being reported more than a month ago. Due to them being adult dogs, and not easily adoptable, 3 week follow up was never even bothered to do. Dogs still BARELY surviving, but due to them not being puppies, this SPCA can not be bothered. I used to volunteer at the Benoni SPCA from the age of 11 as well as Centurion for several years and have donated food and taken part in numerous events to support them. Super dissapointed in the SPCA. It's heart breaking. Alberton SPCA only responds fast and effectively when puppies are involved that can be adopted out.

I reported an unsafe and malnourished dog, an inspector came and said all was well. A month later I'm still seeing all the things (dog not secured in the yard, roaming the streets, going through refuse bins) I complained about.What's the point of being a good citizen by reporting?

Amazing people doing good work caring for animals when they are lucky enough to end up there.Absolutely love finding treasures in the thrift store & with substantially less buyers remorse, cause i know the proceeds contribute towards the care of the animals they care for.I recommend visiting the SPCA here in Alberton before buying your next pet, adopting a rescue is saving a life.
