Ryobi Service Centre - Durban

Bought a brand new generator and ran it only a few times with a very low load. The motor has seized and they refuse to put it through as a warranty.My experience with other companies has been so easy and professional with no problems on warranty claims but Ryobi is useless.I was warned to not buy an unreliable Ryobi product and I won’t make that mistake again.What a joke.

Inferior terrible products, be carful of buying these products, you purchase a brand new hedge trimmer and use it once and it makes a noise and take it back, they turn around and tell you its going to cost half the price to repair it, so if it cant work for its intended use why even touch these products, had similar experience with a ryobi lawn mower after a few uses the plastic chasis just rattled to pieces, Do yourself a favor and visit hellopeter and view all the complaints. They dont even respond to any.

Went to Ryobi in Durban on Thursday, 22 Dec'22 for parts......Notice on door..Ryobi store is closed untill 9 Jan'23..its patchetic, how can a service centre be closed for an extended period..

Reasonably priced products when on special offer, but the spares cost an arm and a leg, more economical to buy a new one if you need spares....not my favourite product..

Poor service, drove from Umkomaas to them 3 times. Unable to assist even after speaking on the phone to the counter sales who said the part was in stock only to drive there for nothing. That's Y they rating is 2

Not worth one star. Dishonest company. Does not honour their warranty. I bought a generator couple months ago. Inverter packs up. They claim i overloaded the generator. It's their word against mine. I am certain that i did not overload the machine. They state that the machine was overloaded. Costs half the price of the machine to repair. 24 month guarantee is nothing more than a cheap advertising gimmick. Seriously... Do not waste your money. The number of one stars and poor reviews speaks for itself.The service centre is understaffed, takes forever to answer the phone and the staff are curt and unfriendly and unhelpful. R 7000 wasted in under 6 months and that's a substantial amount of money.

They are useless.Ryobi Brush Cutter from Builders Warehouse.It broke with in a few weeks, they sent it to this Service Centre.Then after more more than 3 weeks of waiting I was told the broken parts are not covered by the warranty and I must pay to get it repaired.I had the same experience with a Ryobi Lawnmower I bought last year from Builders Warehouse. I will never buy a Ryobi product again.

These dom nys dnt know the f they Are doing . I send in my mechine for a cheeck up. With all the parts and neatly wrapped. I get it back like it went through a bomb blast and the two spray nozzles and the Handel is missing . Then I back they give me the wrong fxxxn handle please dnt use them waste of time .

They have issues with their phones ( load shedding ) but it is worth persevering. All my garden equipment is Ryobi cordless and I have needed the repair centre three times over the past year. Always courteous and helpfull. Repairs done promptly and little and sometimes zero cost. Difficult to believe some of the negative reviews as my 3 interactions have been great

We had an issue with our Ryobi petrol weedeater, they fixed it quickly and at no charge and we were kept in the loop the entire time. Everything working perfectly now.
