Protea Memory Clinic

My husband was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2015. He was accepted into Protea in June 2021. His dementia had reached the stage where he was battling to communicate and finding it difficult to walk. I was finding it difficult to deal with his mood swings and the physical energy it required to look after him as was needed.The staff and carers are trained to be the best at their job. They treated him with love and respect. There are daily activities for the residents and carers are on hand at all times.As the desease progressed, my hubby became less able to walk, talk and eat. He was still made to feel part of the family at Protea and the staff were often rewarded with a smile or a thumbs-up. When his favourite soccer team were playing on the tv on a Saturday, the program on tv was changed so that he could watch them.Sadly Mervine passed away on 26th July 2022. Oom Mervine or Oupa Mervine as he was fondly known will be missed. I will still visit the other residents as I have grown fond of them and love and look forward to our chats.I have nothing but praise and respect for Annerene and her caring staff at Protea Memory Clinic.Thank youRegardsLinda.

They take special care of the elderly and each patient gets One on One care from them. I can defnitely recommend them.

This is the most outstanding Memory Clinic in every possible way, the owners, who are actively involved in every way, the outstanding nursing sisters, wonderful carers, the homely setting, a true home. Our Father, grandfather, has taken a new lease on life,, the difference as to the improvement of his health is remarkable, THANK YOU BEYOND PROTEA MEMORY CLINIC

Absolutely amazing place ! People who have Altsheimers or who suffer from Dimentia will feel safe here. They are treated like royalty and are cared for in every way.
