Banhoek Lodge

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon in South Africa and we could not stop talking about how incredible the Banhoek Lodge was as the second leg in our stay. The views were spectacular and far better than any other hotel / air b n b we visited. The team of people go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully done and thought out. Our room was spacious and again the views were incredible. Look no further than staying at the Lodge.

We stayed at Banhoek Lodge during the course of our wedding and they were very accommodating to our needs! The rooms and the views are incredible. The breakfast was also delicious and the coffee. Our only comment is the miscommunication between guests and staff due to the room names and numbers being confusing but otherwise it was a great experience. Highly recommend to locals and tourist!

We could not have enjoyed our stay at Banhoek Lodge more! In fact, had the rooms not been fully booked, we would have extended our trip. The rooms are all beautiful and all have stunning views visible from the patios/balconies. The rooms are also extremely spacious and comfortable. The pool was a bit cold but nice and refreshing during the very hot summer days. Breakfast was made to order and delicious- both the continental and cooked options. The staff were all lovely. I cannot recommend the lodge enough and it will definitely be my choice of accommodation in the Banhoek Valley from now on.

Banhoek Lodge is truly one of the best stays we have ever had. The room is gorgeous with perfect design, the bed comfortable and the views are absolutely stunning. The breakfast, homemade every morning by the lovely people that work there, is delicious. The staff is so welcoming and kind, and we especially want to thank Ms. Pamela for everything. This is a very special place and we will definitely be returning.

Love staying here! The bottom line is that you get the most bang for your buck staying at Banhoek. Other places in the area charge a fortune for that view. I’ve been to a few other places around and still think Banhoek offers the best of everything. If you can, get the deluxe suite, it’s unmatched.

Stay here! Seriously, if you are planning to visit Stellenbosch, and book the Deluxe Suite. This is a small boutique hotel with I believe 8-10 rooms, max. The Deluxe Suite was breathtaking to say the least.The room was on the second floor over looking a vineyard and mountain. The view was worth the price of the room on its own. The doors/windows go the length of the room and you can keep them fully open to enjoy fresh air, a glass of wine, dinner/breakfast on the balcony, etc. Or you can just lay in bed between winery visits and admire the view. You get sunrise and sunset from bed. It is just spectacular. And the room minus the view is outstanding as well. First, it is huge. It has a couch with a coffee table, a desk if you need to work, fully stocked minibar, and plenty of closet space. The bed is huge, overlooking the vineyards and mountain.Bathroom - Huge two headed shower, separate toilet, double sinks, a huge tub, heated floors... that is just the bathrooms section. The Suite is a large rectangle and the bathroom is open unless you want to close it fully.Breakfast is included and made to order. They will bring it to your room at whatever time you want. The staff was wonderful and made the stay perfect.Somehow this place only gets a four star on the Stellenbosch/South Africa hotel rating scale. I have nothing but praise for the hotel, staff, and room. It was incredible and out of any hotel in the world I can think of that I have stayed, this would be the room I would pick to stay again in visiting the same place. It was that perfect.(gated free parking, close to multiple wineries)

My husband and I went to Banhoek Lodge for a romantic weekend getaway. Our stay at Banhoek Lodge exceeded all our expectations. Our room was modern, comfortable, and tidy, and its view of the mountains and vineyards were breathtaking. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. A truly unforgettable weekend!

I enjoyed my stay at Banhoek Lodge at lot. The location of the lodge is incredible, it is surrounded by beautiful wine yards. I also got two vouchers for two different wine tastings, I enjoyed both of them a lot. As I had booked two nights separately from each other, I got to experience two different rooms during my stay and both of them were beautiful. There will be coffee and tee complementary and a small mini bar on your own expense. They offer breakfast, which is great, but for dinner you have to go to one of the restaurants next by. There are a few in a walkable distance (>~ 2min). Thank you again for letting me stay a bit longer in the room!
