Super. We took our dog with. Lovely resort. Lovely people. Our kids did their home schooling in the lounge. Beautiful nature. Lots of things to do. Love it and will go back.

The resort is beautiful, peaceful, Foo for your soul after a hectic year and you want to take a breath! The dirt road is NOT so great though, approximately 1hr drive, which is fine BUT there is a huge whole filled with water that is a really big concern for families with normal cars. PLEASE have it checked out ASAP!

Really lovely and peaceful place. The dogs loved it. Horse riding is very fun. However, a few activities were unavailable due to broken equipment (quad bikes, jetskis). Our chalet was neat and clean and cleaned everyday, but the accomodation and entertainment areas need upgrading.

The best place to visit, away from busy towns... Just make sure you buy all your groceries before coming to Qwantani, otherwise you'll have to drive 21km on gravel and some extra kms to Harrismith to get groceries... There is a convenient store in the resort though... BRING EVERYTHING on your way here... A lovely, refreshing place to visit... It is all worth it...

Great location and resort. We had an amazing time, however the resort could do more to help assist with basic lighting and a gas stove for load shedding. Other then having no electricity, the stay was good.

I usually don't take my time to write a review but this one deserves it:Nestled in the picturesque Drakensberg region, this is a place that I wholeheartedly recommend. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. The staff at this resort are nothing short of fantastic, providing unparalleled service that left me in awe.The level of service I experienced was truly superior, surpassing all expectations. The attention to detail and care extended by the staff was remarkable, making my stay truly unforgettable. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, setting it head and shoulders above its competition in the region. One of the highlights of my stay was the diverse range of activities on offer. From exhilarating hikes to serene cruises on the Sterkfontein dam, there was something for everyone. The resort catered to all ages, making it a perfect destination for families with young children or elderly family members. In fact, I brought my 80-year-old mother along for her birthday, and she thoroughly enjoyed herself, thanks to the thoughtful amenities and services provided. In addition to the stunning natural surroundings and the exciting activities, the resort also boasted a comfortable lounge where we could relax and unwind. During a spectacular storm, we found solace in this cozy space, making memories that will last a lifetime. As I reflect on my stay at this remarkable place, I can't help but applaud the team at Qwantani for their unwavering commitment to providing an extraordinary experience. Their dedication to excellence truly shines through, and I am grateful for the memories made during my time there. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a truly exceptional getaway. Well done, Qwantani!

So my experience is based on the fact that we have been to this resort many times over the years whilst it was still under RCI. It may come across as being really picky but its my honest opinion. The dirt road coming into the resort has sections which are near impossible to pass in a normal vehicle and i feel the resort could help by grading it with a tracker or at least notifying guests in advance. There is absolutely no Cell Signal on this road so communicating with anyone or trying to get help if you get stuck is not possible and dangerous.Whilst i understand that getting away on a holiday means switching off from the outside world, i do feel the resort needs to do more to ensure that guests have access to Cell Signal or wifi. It is impossible to get signal at any of the Chalets unless you are really close to the reception area. This upgrade is not that expensive and requires wifi boosters to be installed around the resort a simple fix and added benefit in this day and age.Load shedding has become the new norm for most if not all SA people and the resort has not moved in the right direction. The 4.5 hour sessions of Load-shedding mean that there is no hot water and no ability to even cook because the chalet's have no Gas components. There are no Gas stoves and no Gas Geysers 2 essential items in a self catering facility who has nearly 12 hours of load-shedding a day. The generator only powers the reception area and there are no lights throughout the resort during the blackouts. A simple fix would be to install those mini solar spot lights or the equivalent around all pathways and chalets to allow guests to move around at night bearing in mind that this is not a camping resort and people dont bring headlamps with them. The chalet's themselves are nest and well kept but they are dated and have not changed in 13 years there are no upgrades and the bathrooms need attention and upgrading. The service on the chalet only happens if you request the cleaning and this can only happen if you have cell phone signal to call reception or it means you have to walk or drive to reception to get your chalet cleaned. The driveways have not been upgrades and in some places they are falling apart and are to Narrow, again not really an expensive fix for a resort. The activities for kids are not what they used to be and the Much Loved Boma Area now has to be hired at a cost of R3500 if you wish to use the area. In the past the resort would host Saturday Night Braais and it was really a nice end or start to a holiday. This resort still has so much potential and i hope they would work on some of the issues to ensure it gets back to its former glory. The location is amazing and is really beautiful.I have been very critical of this resort because i actually do care and would love to go back and see changes.

Great resort with excellent facilities. Spent two great weeks despite continuous rain, which says a lot about the environment. We have been to resorts all over the country and this is definitely one of the cleanest resorts we have ever been to. He units are well appointed and pleasantly decorated. It is obvious the staff take pride in what they do and that stems from management. We will definately be back.
