Poor communication. Telephone system down for 3 days. No updates on repairs. Avoid.

My insurer chose Faber’s to repair my vehicle. Upon completion of the repairs on the back bumper, the rear sensors that control blindside assist and rear collision was not working. The sensors were in perfect order when the vehicle was booked in.Farber’s claims that it was not them and that is an issue I need to take up the dealership.It is evident that during the repairs that Farber’s made a mistake and won’t take accountability for it.I’m appalled with their service, lack of communication and not taking accountability for their mistake.I would never use them for any repairs in the future.

The most shocking repair centre chosen by Discovery Insurers.Car was never test driven, wheel alignment wasn't done and that following a collision with a buck on a highway with extensive suspension damageThis put lives at risk and have no consideration for safety or quality controlHorrific and shocking is the most polite words I can find.Don't support these people.

They don't check their work before handing it over to customers, crooked bonnet, no blending, skew headlights. The Farber express is way worse though, some dealerships refused to buy my previous vehicle that was poorly repaired by Express, door even fell off at one point!

I definitely don't recommend Farbers Paarden Island. This has been a nightmare experience from start to finish. I chose them because they are Citroën certified and the reviews here were positive. I bumped my car in early December and took it to them for a quote. Tala assisted me and he was great in getting the quote done. It was nearing into December holidays and some parts needed to be ordered so a lady called to book my car in for early Jan. When Jan came around, the day before my car was meant to go in, I just called them to confirm what time I should bring it. Everyone was very confused and once they checked, they told me the parts have not arrived and will only be arriving in May. Had I not called them to follow up, I would have taken my car in for nothing. This should have been my warning sign but I was understanding about it with all the shipping delays happening. Then the parts ended up arriving in March so I was called to bring my car in, I was told it should take 3 days, 5 days at the very most. After 4 days, I hadn't heard anything and called in to find out if I could collect my car the next day. I was told it would ready on Monday. On Friday I called to find out if it would be ready on Monday morning or Monday afternoon and was told Tuesday. Tuesday I was getting annoyed when I called and was told it was being polished and just needs to be qc'd. This was the run around for a whole week.. Tomorrow, tomorrow.. Their customer service was absolutely terrible. No one can give you answers. I called 10 times over the 2 weeks left numerous messages to be called back, which were ignored, promises were made to get back to me, which were never kept. Had they told me it would have taken 2 weeks in the beginning or just been honest with the delays I would not have been upset but they kept lying, only for me to find out today from their workshop manager that they sprayed the car the wrong colour and it had to be redone, which is why there was an issue. Then finally on the day its ready, after a lot of fighting to get it done, I am sent an email saying I can only get my car released if my payment reflects in their bank account before it is delivered. Really cheeky that I need to rush and do an immediate payment when I can't even get them to return my phone calls. I will never make the mistake of sending my car here again. They have ZERO customer service skills. The work done on my car was mostly to my satisfaction, they did not fix one spot on my mirror but I'm happy enough to cut my losses and have my car back and to never have to deal with this company again.
