Automatic gearbox repair on 4x4 Hilux. My vehicle broke down in Citrusdal and I was told JF services can fix it. R23 000 later I collected the vehicle with the 4x4 not working/ engaging, vehicle seemed sluggish and a oil leak I noticed when I arrived home. Sluggishness was not noticed by JFA when I took the car for a test drive. He said it is my imagination. This after doing 2 months 12000km in the car to Zambia. 4x4 on the front diff was said to be a electrical fault and that I must take it to a auto electrician. When I returned the bakkie none of the faults mentioned was according to JFA gearbox problems and they would fix this at R4000 to get my 4x4 working again and R6000 to fox the oil leak.They did not follow the correct procedure so my insurance voided the claim. Be sure to get a quotation before work starts on your vehicle. Even when asking for a quotation on their work repairs it took them a week and they are charging me R900 for this. Do not know how their body repair shop is. Stay away for gearbox problems
