Bridgevale Park
A wonderfully serene, bird-filled green spot in the middle of the suburbs. A walk around is good for the soul. Dog friendly but please pick up after your furry friends. Cleared and maintained by Enviro Fixers. Consider making a donation via Zapper to help with the upkeep.

A mere 1.4km from my house and didn't even know. Shame on me. Beautiful and tranquil. Met so many people and their doggies, all follow the rules and respect for this little piece of nature in suburbia. Will visit again and again.

What a fantastic place - it's so great, in fact, that you can see our municipality has had nothing to do with it!

Well done to the local community-based Envirofixers and the Durban North Conservancy for fixing up this park. It’s a beautiful open space that’s perfect for a relaxed stroll with the dogs. Most of the invasive alien plants have been cleared and the indigenous plants are making a rapid comeback. We saw and heard plenty of birds including a very regal Black Sparrowhawk. Also many butterflies, grasses and flowers. The paths were neatly trimmed and were not so wide as to detract from the beauty of the forest and grassland patches. Our dogs appreciated the strategic placement of water bowls so they could quench their thirst. The presence of Zapper QR-codes also meant that we could easily make a donation to the conservancy. This is such a brilliant idea and at least we know the money will be put to good use. Thanks!!

Such an awesome park right on our doorstep, especially considering it is maintained by the Community relying on community funding. A beautiful and peaceful place to walk dogs, see neighbours and enjoy the birdlife. Noticed a huge increase in birdlife in my garden since the park has begun to be maintained.
