Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa

Great location, scenic views. However, did not have water/hot water throughout the day. They kept on saying that they are waiting for maintenance. No blankets available. Staff is very unprofessional. No one got back to us. And it was a cold day. Woke up early due to high noise levels from staff movement. Under right management this hotel has so much of potential to become great. Just show a bit of respect and understanding to your clients. Customer service is everything in a competitive world.

Such a lovely environment to unwind from the city life. So calming and closer to nature. Staff was so friendly and accommodating.

I paid a lot of money for a tranquil night away only to have the sound of metal grinders and construction for the afternoon and woke me up early the following morning. I wrote into the hotel and the booking company and it has been nearly two weeks and no one bothers to reply. Check if they are doing maintenance before spending all that money for a very mediocre room and a hell of a lot of noise.

It was our second visit to the awesome Le Franschhoek Hotel. The place is still holding its image high as always. We were warmly welcomed by staff and ushered into a beautiful clean room with stunning views.A wide variety of clean healthy and mouth watering options for breakfast in an airy stylish dining area.Dinner was a letdown since I was served what I didn’t order and the mistake wasn’t correct even when I made themaware.Overall experience was great. It still remains my favourite establishment in Franschhoek.

Wonderful setting. Helpful staff. Perfect for exploring Franschhoek, but it's goid to have your own transport.Rooms only have the minimum for self-catering needs. But the twice a day service makes up for that!

The hotel is beautiful and is in a wonderful setting, however, our experience showed many faults with the hotel. Firstly, whilst the room was comfortable the shower leaked and the toilet was hidden behind the door making it difficult to access. When sitting on the balcony we were right in front of the window into another room. They were no chairs in the room to sit on. The restaurant where the breakfast was served had no signage as to what the buffet contained this could prove to be a major health and safety risk to anyone with an allergy. Also, I do not expect them to run out of juice at breakfast. The food served in this restaurant in the evening was of a very poor standard and certainly not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall, this has the potential to be an excellent hotel but I fear it is not being managed correctly

On arrival no help with luggage, no welcome drink, 1st impression: not very clean, carpet dingy, staff very unprofessional, praise God we had an upgrade otherwise we would have left. Breakfast was good, if you couldn't sit outside when it was raining, you had to wait 30 minutes in the lounge for a free table inside. The worst thing, however, was that there was only seating on the veranda of the restaurant plus by the pool (18 sunbeds for 100 guests, without cushions, very uncomfortable and that there were sometimes no sunbeds due to a lack of sunbeds). 1 taxi booked privately by us was given to other guests (absolute NO GO) with the comment that the driver would be back in 5 minutes. Conclusion: We were there for the first and last time

I highly recommend this luxurious hotel. Such a beautiful, tranquil setting with impeccable service and delicious food. The villa we stayed in had everything we could possibly need and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary and the variety of food was over the top. I had to give only 4 stars as we ran out of hot water the night we stayed and had only enough for one bath. I felt that I received good value for my $ though. Thank you for a very special experience! I was sorry to miss the High Tea and hope to come back one day for that.

This was an amazing hotel. The staff were very friendly and always smiling. The food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the service. I would highly recommend Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa.The room was beautiful, we had a huge balcony overlooking the pool and gardens.

Lovely room and balcony where you could see the mountains (especially lovely in the morning) and a view of Franschhoek in the distance. The food was excellent. This is not a tranquil hotel. There was a very loud disco one evening and a party of guests just underneath our balcony on another. However, enjoyed being there!
