Nooitgedacht Estate

We recently had our wedding at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate, and we could not have been happier with the location. The place is just beautiful, from the spectacular gardens to the elegant and charming Manor House. We browsed many wine farms around Cape Town and Nooitgedacht was just the one. The food was simply excellent. The canapés were all fresh and very tasty. We had the harvest table as well and it was really nice. The best course was easily the Fillet Le Nooitgedacht. Wonderfully cooked to perfection and was accompanied by a delicious merlot jus and well-spiced mash. We had a wonderful celebration there and all of our guests complimented us on the choice of the venue many times during and after the wedding. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and we highly recommend having your wedding or other event at Nooitgedacht Estate.

Old farm house and colonial vibes. Great location and beautiful views, but if you don't like old and rustic vibes, it's not for you.But the manor house was built in 1774, so that's quite cool

We attended a wedding at this venue. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The chapel was quite warm and would have been more comfortable if there was air-conditioning but it was beautifully decorated for the ceremony. The gardens are amazing with ample space for an outside wedding. The setup under the trees was great as it was very hot on the day. We enjoyed canapés on the lawns, played lawn games, and enjoyed drinks provided by the bar staff. The dinner venue was spacious and beautiful. The food was great but there were no appropriate vegan dishes even though it was indicated that it should be an option. Overall, a gorgeous day celebrating the ones we love. I would highly recommend this venue for functions- there were approximately 150 guests comfortably accommodated.

Trust me on this one, do not use this venue. After taking our R30 000 deposit because we sadly couldn't afford to proceed with our wedding, they forced a clause in the contract which they never made verbally or specifically clear to us at the time of signing, that we owe them an extra R35 000+ because we called it off too late. Having heard nothing from them leading up to this point.They underhandedly waited and didn't inform us of the time cut-off of this clause (life happens and of course we don't know every clause but THEY do as it is their contract and still chose not to give us a heads up).So they are not happy with the R30 000 deposit we gave them, having told them our financial situation has unfortunately declined, and they are now threatening us with legal letters.They are ruthless and inhumane to lump this on clients who have had to make a terribly difficult decision and now have to deal with their despicable greed.

Absolutely beautiful. Had a pleasant experience. Every aspect of this venue was beautiful. Breathtaking views. The service was excellent. Fell in love with the relaxed ambience of the banqueting hall.
