Danielskraal Farm

My stay was totally unexpected as to what I had in mind. It exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The house is exquisetly appointed and the attention to detail is sublime. The staff are brilliantly trained in their specific fields and the owner and the people running the farm are so hands on without being in your face. I highly recommend it for a place to escape to for peace and tranquility.

We had a wonderful stay at beautiful Danielskraal. From the warm hosts to the beautiful scenery and luxury accommodation, we were spoiled. The peace and quiet is only disturbed by the sound of the silky chickens in the nearby pen! Enjoy beautiful walks in nature surrounded by the fynbos, or simply relax on the beautifully decorated stoep or braai the day away at the fire pit. We only wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

Putting the “treat” into Retreat, put your feet up and enjoy the fantastic view over the mountain and hills.  With an abundance of birdlife and nature all around, from farmland and pristine indigenous forests to amazing mountains, the accommodation provides a very relaxing home-from-home feeling. Spend lazy summer days by the pool,  gentle walks through the shaded forest trails, or snuggle up in winter in front of the large log fires with a cup of tea or soup. Rosheen is an amazing host, and you will fall in love with her.

What an amazing spot tucked away between the hills. The reception and people are amazing, plus there are will animals to be seen.

We so enjoyed our stay and the very warm welcome and care from Rosch and Sandra. We have been back a few days and can't stop thinking about this beautiful place called Danielskraal Farm!

Danielskraal is a piece of heaven on earth. Such a fabulous and memorable stay. Absolutely wonderful for children. We will back very soon!

Danielskraal is the most magical place! From the moment you enter the gates at the end of a gravel road, it’s a very special experience. You’ll be warmly welcomed by Rosh Posh and Sands, who’ll get to know you or leave you alone, whichever you prefer! I’d suggest you get to know these two beautiful humans, who are full of life and love, for life itself. The farm is magnificent, take a walk up to ‘Heaven’ for a peaceful moment and views that you will treasure forever. We loved sitting around the fire with a glass of red wine in the evenings, we also enjoyed meeting Sunny (who runs a local Korean restaurant) coming to the house to cook up a Korean feast for us! Simply, the best time ever with good friends and family.

This quiet valley just outside of Calitzdorp is a bit of heaven. A beautiful old farmhouse with great interiors nestles in a lavish green garden with a diving swimming pool. A complete escape with loads of local adventures. I highly recommend a good couple of days to change your view of the world from the heart of the Klein Karoo.

What a lovely place to stay. Stunning, peaceful surroundings with friendly hosts. Walk around the farm spotting the large variety of succulents or take a trip into town for some fantastic wine tasting - you really can't go wrong with Danielskraal. Just wish we had stayed longer!

This is an extraordinary farm and we loved our stay as it offered such an interesting time. Also off the beaten track so ideal for chilling. Great hostess and staff. You will have a brilliant time. Beautiful location.
