This is really one of the best Chinese places to go. The waiter was very nice and the staff was all very helpful. We saw the manager before our meal and when we were about to go and his personality is 10 out of 10. The place is very comfortable and cosy. I would definitely recommend them.

Tai Ping was one of my partner and I favorite restaurants until tonight. We haven't bought food from them in awhile but tonight we had a craving and decided to make the drive from Tableview to Newlands. What a disappointment this was. Everything was bland. The beef in oyster sauce I ordered was watery and tough and my partners sweet and sour pork was so oily it was actually quite disgusting. What a waste of money and petrol.

Enjoyed the experience ,however the menu could do with better variety, was the usual typical simple offerings & the dessert menu was not appealing. The seafood dish I tried could have been much better if fresh fish was used, not frozen. The beef dish was better.

If you are lucky enough to read this before hand........... Donot come here. Bad tasteless food. Worst Veg spring rolls I ever had in my life, only filled with saltless cabbage.I ordered and Veg chow mein, filled with oil! The owner apologies saying the staff are in a bad mood because of loadshedding and the customers must just understand! I ordered passion fruit and lemonade, it was flat. They replaced it with another flat glass!!

Went to Tai Ping with my husband on Valentines day and I have it say their food are out of this world. Bae and I are definitely going back. Not only was the food great but the aesthetics and waiters were out of this world. Wow wow wow it's a 10/10 for me ma'am. I love love that place.

The owner, Collin, knows his regular customers all by their first names. I personal touch that many business owners sometimes lack.His food a very good and well priced.The staff is also positive and friendly.
