Kwalucia Private Safari Retreat
The best place I have stayed at in South Africa. The owners are fantastic and helped plan all our activities for the week what an adventure. The room was fantastic and they always went the extra mile to make us feel at home and welcome. The food was amazing it's worth just staying for the food alone. Their service is unmatched by any other place I have ever stayed at.Kwalucia has set the standard I doubt I will find any other accommodation that will come close to them. I will definitely be returning as often as possible.

The breakfast at KWALucia is delicious.The hosts Marie & Adrian are so friendly and helpful.The atmosphere at this lodge is like being in a jungle, what we liked a lot. There can be seen many monkeys, squirrels, chameleons…We would definitely recommend you to stay at this amazing lodge.

We loved staying at KWALucia. You feel like being home far away from home!Marie & Adrian are fantastic hosts and if needed, they give you so many advice to make your stay perfect.Even if we had rain for 2 days (what is uncommon), they workey out great ideas for our days there.Thank you so much for having us!

Stayed two nights in September of '22.... Bit late for a review, but better late than never! Not exaggerating; I think the breakfasts there were the best I have had in all my travels or that I have made myself! The breakfast was truly homemade" and could not be reproduced in a restaurant. Simply every part was a labor of love. So... if ya want the best breakfast ever; go there! For real!Quiet location across the street from a quiet park and very close to "downtown" which offers some pretty good sushi too. The rooms are spacious and actually from my point of view they are stand alone small bungalows in African decor. For some folks the rooms might not be perfect

Have not stayed yet but Adrian and Marie have been absolutely excellent throughout our booking process! We booked for our honeymoon in June 2020 and then COVID-19 had other plans. Without hesitation they postponed our booking and when we were let down by another lodge in the area a few weeks before our visit Adrian and Marie were quick to accommodate us for extra nights! Absolute professionals and they show a clear love and care for what they do! I am so looking forward to my stay

We had such a nice stay with Mary and Adrian! They are great persons who really take care of their visitors. We had the best breakfast ever!!! All fresh, homemade, tasty… thank you so much Mary! We are very picky with food and you made it perfect!!!Adrian went fishing and we could taste the fish he caught in a restaurant…It was so good!If you stay with them you will be happy for sure! Don t hesitate!

Absolutely beautiful, a real gem hidden in a lovely little town. Wonderful breakfasts , friendly and very helpful hosts, a real break from all the stress of life. Can't wait to return.
