The Burner
This is the best Indian restaurant that we have eaten at in Cape Town so far.It was recommended on the popular group Appetite on Facebook and it did not disappoint. The owner is kind and friendly. The food is filled with flavour (Durban Style)The waiters are fairly friendly and the atmosphere is casual. Its hard to get real Durban Style food in Cape Town but THE BURNER does provide just that. The Wedding style soji is a must.My family and I will return without a doubt.

Extremely interesting Indian food from a large Menu. Curries only available extremely hot and they should cater for a milder palate. Possibly the diners they attract are with the former palate. Prices are on the expensive side. This revues is on their Bellville outlet.

Awesome food. Friendly staff from the time you enter till you leave. Freshness and quality of food. Keep it up. Don't mind traveling from wellington for such dreat food.

Service is good. Portions are good. Quality of meat is good.Had the lamb curry....taste and flavours, are sadly very dissapointing. Nothing like Durban curry, or any other curry..... just a plain spicey stew. Very sad. Was hopeful.Wont rush back. Wont recommend.

The best indian food in South Africa and I am from Durban! Nothing is more authentic indian food than this. Proper indian curries and dishes. Affordable and no compromise on quality. Big portions too. Make sure you get a Soji or Vermicilli take away! My advice... Mutton Bunny Chow. Butter chicken not so good. The rest brilliant.

The Food is absolutely delicious. If you looking for an authentic Durban Bunny Chow or Curry then The Burner is you stop. I've had the Lamb Curry Bunny Chow there a few times and always a great experience.

Authentic Durban Cuisine. Its based in a pub like bar. Dimly lit with Indian decor. I ordered take out. The curries are usually very nice but always very oily. I highly recommend their soji. Its disappointing they only have their butternut curry during the fast

I will start by saying the food is exceptional. We have gotten take-out from The Burner in Century City several times and I loved that the curry was hotter (spiciness) at this branch. My son had the Butter Chicken with roti, I had Broad Bean Curry with roti and, my husband had the Boneless Lamb Bunny - we would recommend all of these. The woman who assisted us when we picked up our order was also very friendly. BUT, the three stars is only because the food and service was good…The location is terrible and I felt incredibly unsafe going there this evening. The signage is hard to see because it is really high up and says “Wagon Burner” not “The Burner.” There are also a lot of people hanging around on either side of that corner. I would not recommend a woman goes there on her own in the evening. I would also suggest you park right outside the entrance so you don’t have to walk past the people hanging outside. Inside it’s dark and dingy (picture a bar you wouldn’t want to go to), I honestly thought I was in the wrong place.I will be sticking to the Century City branch in future, even though this branch is closer to home.
