Peter is an outstanding dog trainer and his understanding of dogs beyond his years. Peter was the only trainer that would accept my American Pit Bull into his class. I would recommend Understanding Dog to anyone and everyone.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Peter, founder of Understanding Dog, to address some behavioural issues my dachshund was experiencing. Peter's extensive experience and understanding of dog psychology were apparent throughout the consultation process. Peter is exceptional at what he does. He is an absolute professional. Peter gives good instruction, recommendations, and clarity during sessions. I found Peter from Understanding Dog after looking for dog training services for my Great Dane puppy. He is absolutely the best when it comes to training dogs and understanding that there are different temperaments in dogs and how to deal with this. After finding out Rogue is a reactive dog , Peter has been a wonder in teaching me on how to handle her and train. Will not go wrong if you use Peter for training. Peter is also most understanding when you as a person feel you have failed when it comes to training and the way he explains that neither the dog nor handler have failed everyone has good and bad days.

Peter is an excellent communicator and understands how to best approach any given scenario with your dog. He really helped us understand why certain behaviours are good or bad, and how to best train our dog. Newton is happy, and safer on walks thanks to Peter's assistance and ability to adjust training based on the breed at hand, the size of the dog, the temperament, as well as our reservations and concerns as pet owners. We now know about safer walking techniques, and how to approach reactivity towards other dogs, alongside a wealth of other information, both passed on from Peter but also from his recorded lessons. Suprise !!! My daughter decided to buy me a Rottweiler puppy. I immediately decided I want to train Luna through a professional. I search for a professional and found Peter. I have owned dogs my whole life and thought I know allot on how to raise dogs. Peter made me think about every little, small or big thing you do or teach your dog. We would like to thank Peter Eleftheriou from Understanding Dog, for his commitment in assisting us with the introduction of Zeus a 18 month male pittbull to our Princess a 5 year old female pittbull. I must admit I was petrified but had to do this, I had to do my best in offering Zeus a home. I found Peter to be extremely patient and professional. He is definitely your go to guy. Our experience with Peter was amazing. I was initially nervous about finding someone who could work safely with our reactive dog, but Peter was so in-tune with our dog's behavior and immediately got a sense of where the issues were stemming from. l appreciate that he never moved beyond the pace our dog was comfortable with, and continued to observe and learn from our dog's behavior as we progressed with training.
