Very dissapounted about treatment there...Just disgusting

Great place to rent. Nice and peaceful estate in PMB.

I had to set up a wedding cake at this venue in 31°C KZN weather. The actual venue is quite a walk from the parking lot if you have to carry 8 cake boxes and all my baking tools. I arrived at the venue at 9.30am. There is no loading zone/catering access. The decor was beautiful, but the super shiny, slippery looking tiles had puddles of water all over and I was terrified of falling over with the cakes. When I got in, I requested for the Aircon to be turned on as the bride had told me that the venue was air-conditioned. A very helpful young gentleman left to ask the owner. The owner came in and stated(with absolute arrogance)that the Aircon does not work and she wanted to know what kind of cake I do because she has hosted several weddings and no cakes ever melted. She said that there was nothing that she could do to help me. I have done countless wedding cakes and it was the first time that I had ever encountered a person like this . This lady stood and shouted and spoke down to me when I just made a simple request. The wedding party was a bit delayed so I spent an hour on a hot stage with spotlights(which made it hotter)trying to set the cake up. I usually wait until the bridal party arrive. The minute they arrived, the air-conditioning was switched on. I was not the only service provider who this lady was so rude to. Everyone that I encountered complained. I will never use this venue, even if it was offered to me free of charge.
