African Sun Lodge

Very clean but not up to standard as in pictures they use.

Firstly.. the website is misleading in the sense that this place is not in Berea as the website says.Coming from out of town, having to travel through a district my friends and I have never been before, to get to this place, it was quite terrifying. There are vagrants walking right outside the lodge, your safety as well as that of your vehicle and belongings - is certainly NOT guaranteed. Myself and friends had booked into this lodge as it was “reasonably priced”, only to get there and be completely misled. We get the to main building where the accommodation is supposed to be, only to be told that we then needed to walk up the road, as the extra rooms are in another building on the other side. This walk was quite scary as well, as it was close to sunset and the surroundings looked very dangerous.Reception was least of all helpful, the receptionist doesn’t have a proper way of welcoming guests, honestly the worst and rudest welcome we’ve ever experienced!

The was noise all night. The front stuff were speaking so load..Early house of the morning there was one guy hooting non stop asking the lady at the reception to open the gate for him bt she was refusing. Honestly my stay thr was horrible.Couldn't even sleep. My partner and are were disappointed

A very beautiful place I which I could go back there...they treat client very well but the security at night they keep on knocking in our doors telling us that we must sleep we making noise that what I didn't not like but the rest it's very nice.

To say it was an amazing experience would be an understatement. This place is phenomenal. The hospitality!The staff should be rewarded for making that place a vibe. They are the coolest and generous bunch of people I've ever met in my entire existence. They are like family. They look after us and ensure we are okay at all time. Everything about this hidden gem is breathtakingly beautiful. It's also well secured with electric fences and has security guards/bouncers that are around all night long. I give it 5 stars because it deserves 5 stars, anything less than that would be unfair. I'm definitely coming back. This is going to be my escape place" from here onwards."

The rooms are clean, but they are very cold. A blanket would be nice to have, since the bed is sheets only. Aircon is never on either.

Very affordable very efficient being walking distance from the mall and the beds are comfy aswell

-Paid for the booking, got thereSuddenly they cant find the booking?-But the money is gone from the account-Photos dont match those on booking sites or on maps-Receptionist doesnt welcome us when we enter, just tells us we have to wait even though we have confirmation for our bookingBooked another hotel on the spot!Dont recommend anyone going hereWill contact our booking site for a refund :)

Great service, great staff, very clean but the only issue is that it doesn't have Wifi,otherwise im not complaining at all. Thanks for your service it was a week well spent
