The salon is under new management from June 2023. New owner, new name. We have successfully launched Shear Beauty Salon which was previously known as Hair Topic and we hope to give you a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

Fuzlin is a lovely lady and styled my hair beautifully, but she is operating this salon on her own from answering the phone to providing all the hair services. She definitely needs support in the salon.

Upon arrival the staff was late. When I got assisted I received a long 'preach' about using sulphate free shampoo that it should be salon quality. The lady started doing my brazillian but told me that I should keep the residue on my hair for at least 5 days and then rinse it off. I went spending money on expensive salon quality shampoo as she advised me. After washing my hair 8 days later, it appears that there is no brazillian. I have never heard about washing your hair 5 days later. The lady who does my hair originally has never adviced me to wash after 5 days. I walkrd out and my brazillian kept 4 months. My hair is dry, and not even soft. This was my 4th time having a brazillian, first time at this salon as I got a Hyperli voucher as a gift. And to make it even worse I had to pay an extra R200 for the length of my hair. I will never return to this salon again. The service is very unprofessional and the conversations they had made me feel uncomfortable at times. I prefer a pay back in cash, or alternatively I will take this further. This is rediculous to mention the least. Utterly dissapointed.

I will never, ever go back to this place again. I will advise people to rather spend their hard earned money, at a PROFESSIONAL SALON. On arrival the girl at the door doesn't even greet. I greeted her and was told, TAKE A SEAT. HOW RUDE. I spent close to R600

I am so happy that I found this place during one of my browsing session. Portia lovely lady, amazing in what she does sorted me out with a beautiful hairstyle. My new go-to hairdresser for excellent service and good conversations. You ladies rock!!!

I had a wikideal pedicure last Saturday and was no longer a fan of the colour and upon arrival at my usual place- I got my toe mail tested as I was told it looked infected. I have never in my life EVER had this happen to me and the salon Manager Nicky doesn’t seem to care either. I am being offered a hair treatment to “fix” picking up a fungus from their nail therapists unhygienic equipment. I don’t know what’s worse!So now I sit with no pretty toes and a big toe nail that’s highly infected and I have to pay the money to fix it. Absolutely disgusting!

The best service I've received from a hair salon, Fuzzy such a lovely lady. She's very passionate and extremely knowledgeable in terms of her work. Very professional yet super friendly makes you feel so comfortable, definitely going back again.
