Tony the owner was in my complex. I asked him to quote for 4 carpets. He quoted. I told him when I am ready I will call him.He got very annoyed with me.Yesterday I was ready to clean my carpet and called him. He had an appointment this morning.He indicated that he was surprised to hear from me because I was not attentive to him.On my first encounter with him I realized he was rude, crumpy but I ignored his personality because I needed my carpets cleaned not a friend.He arrived today and requoted, R300 more. I questioned his new price. Rudely he told me to take it or leave it.I was caught of guard and a little scared to ask him to leave. I agreed to pay him what he requested. As he was about to start I asked if he had a generator he said no. He will be using my water and electricity.He said lady if you not happy I will leave. I said please leave.Harsh words were exchanged. Im extremely proud of myself for not accepting to be spoken to rudely by an old grumpy man, especially in my own home. It was not about the money but his manner in which he spoke to me.Call it poor customer communication skills or just total disrespect for females. I think the latter.
