Semane Lodge
We had a wonderful few days here during the December holidays!The Stone Cottage comfortably houses a family of four. The kitchen is adequately equipped and the cottage has a nice stoep with a view of the Gouka River Valley.We went for enjoyable walks on the main access road with beautiful views of the valley. We swam in the main pool of the river close to the cottage, where we did 80 metre laps!A very quiet and relaxing place.

10 days over December 2021 will always be unforgettable, we were 9 pax 5 dogs and 1 cat. One of us caught small mouth bass in the river while the others enjoyed the amazing cliffs the bubbly river and the stars like your imagination cant describe. Drives through amazing mountain passes that a normal 4x2 bakkie did easily had some breathtaking views. Steven and Mac the caretakers were friendly and helpfull from laundry to firewood even a change of bedding was always done with a smile.

Great mountain getaway. Of the cellphone grid makes for a relaxing escape. Units are fully equipt, tidy and have a great view of the cliff side. Swimming spot is close to relax in. Tubes and kayak available for use. Road is a little tricky, high ground clearance recommended.
