Although we planned our intimate wedding quite quickly, we knew that we wanted Lara on board long before we'd even confirmed the date, venue and guest list. Not only is she kind, loving and compassionate, but it's also clear how much she loves love – which made her the perfect person to conduct our ceremony. She handled all of our delays, last minute requests and back-and-forths with such grace, and made us feel so comfortable throughout the experience. The run up to our ceremony was overwhelming, but her prompts, guidance and suggestions gave us the chance to actually sit down and reflect, and meant that on the day we readily trusted the process - and it turned out to be the most beautiful experience, a moment in our lives that we'll never forget. I met Lara for the very first time on my wedding day, in the quiet moment between getting ready, and walking down the aisle.Ordinarily, because weddings can be a nauseating blend of logistics, finances, expectations and emotions, you’d imagine meeting your officiant ahead of time to subtly evaluate them by their handshake, their manner, their them-ness.But that’s the thing: Lara isn’t about the ordinary or the expected.The truth is: I didn't need to meet Lara to trust her. I knew, from her writing and her photographs and her correspondence, that she could and would make magic happen. A skilful storyteller, Lara deftly wove threads of intimacy, levity, and profound truths into our ceremony. And she organised the most swoon-worthy bouquet of peonies.That day in September was a blur of silk chiffon, bunny tails, buttercream, wide-mouthed smiles, and collective tears and laughter. What more can you really ask for?

Where to even begin, Lara was an absolute dream from beginning to end. From the moment we first made contact she was so kind and we booked her right away. She put together the most beautiful ceremony, with so many personal touches, it was as if she had know us for years. The attention to detail, her beautiful words and the way she put everything together had everyone hooked! Friends and family still talk about how perfect the ceremony was! She came all the way to Pretoria to do our ceremony and we are SO very grateful for this! Thanks Lara for being the very best marriage officer in the world!

Before my husband and I got married, I'd always thought of ceremonies as a bit of a regimented formality. And, I felt in my heart and soul that I really wanted explore the idea of something more personal, something that left us feeling uplifted. Lara made this dream a reality. Lara did an amazing job and made our wedding truly a day to remember! Especially for us living overseas Lara was a great help to get everything arranged, e.g. legal documents, as easy as possible. Besides of being professionally highly qualified Lara has a great personality and transfered all our thoughts and wishes for our wedding into a fantastic day! She also was the photographer for the day and her photos turned out to be perfect.... Five stars well deserved....

Lara did an amazing job with our wedding ceremony and vows. We were able to meet with her a few weeks before the wedding to answer questions and go over the schedule after which we knew we were in good hands. She catered the entire ceremony to meet the feeling and mood we envisioned for the day. She made the ceremony personal and told our story to everyone that attended.
