I have a half completed shed, the workmanship is terrible. The owner doesn’t answer my calls or respond to messages. I do not recommend this company.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Bad workmanship, extortion and incomplete work. Payment terms are 50% deposit, 25% at roof level, 20% near completion and 5% upon completion. You will have all of Alec’s attention up until he receives his deposit. This company will work hard to get to roof level and then you will see a huge decrease in activity. Work slowed down significantly once Alec had 75% of the payment.Nearing completion, my mother was far too trusting and paid the 25% balance. However, she had not paid an amount of R2200.00 which was for a change she had made in window size. As soon as Alec received the 25% (which, I remind you, should have been the 20% near completion amount), he advised my mother that a further R4000.00 was needed and his team would not return until it was paid. This amount should have been R2200.00 and she had planned to pay it UPON completion. Back against the wall, and wanting the job completed, she then paid the R4000.00, we still do not know what the additional R1800.00 was for as he would not explain. His team returned for a few hours the day after the additional amount cleared in his account, and then that was it.Weeks later, the homes are still not complete. Facia boards are broken, the sliding door is skew with gaps on both sides, windows have no handles, corners are not finished, and the site is littered with their building materials and scraps. When the electricians came to install the solar panels they could not step foot on the roof as the sheeting used was exceptionally thin, we also noticed that normal nails (not roofing nails) were used on the roof, and most that were knocked in had missed the roof beams, so effectively doing nothing to keep the roof in place. We have been trying to get hold of Alec, to no avail. My dad was finally able to get hold of him using my cellphone number. When Alec heard who was calling him, he told my dad that he could not hear him. He finally answered a Whatsapp message and advised that his team have now started on a new site, and he doesn’t know when they will be able to return to complete the job, which he has been paid in full for, plus some. We have now had to pursue legal action (which has also gone ignored). Our lawyers have been receiving the same “I’m in a bad/noisy area, I can’t hear you” response my dad received.A job that was promised to be completed in just under 2 weeks has been going on for months now and counting! Shocking. We are grateful that we were able to warn family friends in time as they were initially impressed (as we all were) with this company. Thankfully they contacted another company instead. Alec also operates another business called Summit Log & Nutec Homes.
