In my last year of renting these are the worst agents I have ever dealt with. It is a well-orchestrated scam premised on not paying you back your deposit. 5 weeks after vacating a property we looked after just like our own we have not received a cent of over R22, 000 they hold in deposit. Avoid them.

Stats Properties is a scam. They seem to be nice to you until you move out.. Agency seem to do pretty bad in their business as a result of mismanagement so they trying to get the most out of you. We were being a nice quiet people always paying our rent on time. Kept place clean and tidy, never had a problem. We thought its a trustable agency you can do a business with. But once we moved out they turned into real devils. We lost our money, our last month rent which we payed being a nice honest people so we can get our deposit back. But no one returned our hard earned money (deposit) to us following the absolutely scam tactics... Stats Properties and agent Charlene Marais-Petersen - you will get your boomerang back.

The only Estate Agency that I would EVER choose to sell my home! They are trustworthy, honest, friendly and give great service.

Reading previous reviews, this seems to be standard practice for Stats properties! My Lease ended in Jan 2020 and somehow i still have to deal with this unpleasant company!!! They will do anything to hold on to your deposit and you will have to chase them for feedback. The process that they follow when you inter into a lease agreement is completely different from what they do for for the out going inspection. I'm willing to to expose this company and its agent...people will need some form of entertainment during lock-down!Do not use these guys!!!!

If you are looking to rent, my advice would be to stay way clear of Stats Properties.I have experienced Stats Properties as dishonest, unethical and unprofessional. It takes weeks to get a reply to emails. They have an unwillingness or inability to work with technology. During the outgoing inspection we were told that they couldn’t have a copy of the incoming inspection report and/or photos thereof present because it would be too difficult to pack up their entire desktop computer and bring it along.Stats Properties have done their utmost best to repay as little as possible of the deposit, claiming for all sorts of general wear and tear items as well as even trying to claim for defects that were identified during the incoming inspection and shown on the report. Based on other reviews I have read, this seems to be a common theme.It has now been more than a month after the outgoing inspection took place and we are still waiting for the deposit to be repaid. The feeling that I get is that Stats Properties play on the fact that people need the money and try to delay repayment for as long as possible. Eventually people run out of time and just accept the unreasonable costs that Stats Properties try to impose with the hope to at least get back whatever scraps of their deposits are left.
