I am very much disappointed about this company.In September I went to On holiday to Greece, on de last day I was suppose to fly back to SA,I was mugged n my passport and my purse were stolen,leading me to stay in Greece for more 3 days as I was supposed to get emergency passport.On return to SA early October submitted a claim with them for missing my flight.. and loss of documents after long 2 months they only decided to pay me only for my lost passport, after paying for forfeiting my return ticket. Biggest bunch of crooks I have ever come across, not only does this organisation not understand customer service with every last person in the complaints and claims department with an attitude, but their claiming policy is a complete scam, shame on you lot.

Genric should be ashamed, they are crooks and potential customers should read reviews on them first. When recently I provided PROOF of their crookery on Facebook - they deleted the post so my comments would also be gone and BLOCKED ME!!! I purchased ADDITIONAL luggage travel insurance for my luggage, paid around R3000, my bicycle case was damaged and Genric paid out a ridiculous amount of R1200, on the replacement value of R18 000. Never ever will I stop telling people about how I was given the shaft at Genric.

Be warned, they are very willing to make the process of claiming warranty parts basically impossible. The shops they recommend are well without of the part's price meaning you will most likely still have to pay a decent difference on more serious parts. By the time you have gathered all the proof" they need it's probably too late

I’ve used Genric Insurance for vehicle mechanical warranty cover for 3 cars over the past 5 years.Whenever I have a mechanical issue; the business pays out the maximum amount covered for the damaged bit, and having the warranty in place has saved me money in the long run.

Very happy with the pet insurance I took with GENRIC. It was sorted and policy issued same day. The best news was getting cover for my pooch on a pre-existing condition that I fully expected would be excluded from cover - turns out that it will only be a six-month waiting period should it reoccur and I need to claim. They dont provide legal information when it is requested? very concerning.Their representatives will argue with you and are extremely unhelpful.To get the claims process it took multiple emails and in the end, I was referred to the call center anyway...They seem to be low cost compared to other insurance, and this is because they are impossible to deal with.Do yourselves a favour and rather use an insurance company that cost more but actually assists you.

I highly recommend GENRIC Insurance to anyone. They truly exceeded my expectations and I am confident that they will do the same for you.
