This family business knows how to prepare fresh fish - in an unpretentious way! The place is very popular with locals, has very friendly staff and a magnificent view of the ocean! The portions are big and affordable.

Super fresh fish and calamari. Unfortunately couldn't even taste the vinegar on the chips and the batter on the fish was undercooked and soggy. Great calamari though.

Through Rooiels, decided we’ll stop in Kleinmond. Quite a few restaurants on the way to the sea front – Kabeljoe’s sounded nice, but a bit pricey for a quick lunch. Spotted a small fish shop just up the road – Fisherman's Take Away - ordered a fishcake and small chips for me, battered hake and chips for Hein Pretorius and 2 pickled onions.Fabulous fishcake, yum chips, spicy pickled onions and battered fried hake! I always love the end bits of battered fish – when Hein couldn’t finish his fish, I wasn’t interested in the fish, only the crispy outside skin. Delicious! Quite a few people stopped and ordered lunch …. Oh and all that food was only R119!!!

Best fish,chips and calamari I have had in years. The food was fresh and service fast and friendly. Eating area outside was clean.

Ordered takeaway Hake & chips worst fish ever had. Most of the chips were raw. The fish batter was soggy. They don't know how to cook fish

Fisherman's Takeaway is always on point. I usually order their hake, calamari and small chips special and always happy with the portion size. My rating is based on consistent great service and delicious food.

Very standard and plain fish and chip take-away. The food was good and competitively priced. But the best part and the reason for the high score as well as the reason for going back is the very friendly service and the awesome location. The staff was friendly and efficient. According to the gentleman who took our order the shop has been there for 22 years. Fantastic!
