Peaceful and completely private. Breathtaking views. Some roads require high rise vehicles.

Kudu Private Nature Reserve
Kudu Private Nature Reserve is a development consisting of 125 stands most of which have been developed and are largely used as holiday homes although there are a few permanent residents. The reserve is 5,500 hectares in size with most of it set aside as wilderness. It encompasses a wetlands area and also the Lydenburg Falls.Whilst there are no elephants, rhino (removed due to poaching threat) or lion there are leopards and a large buffalo herd along with lots of plains game. Kudu, Sable, Eland, Impala, Zebra and Wildebeest are included along with some of the smaller species. It is a well managed and beautiful reserve with some stunning views across to the escarpment and some challenging 4x4 roads if off road driving is your thing.KPNR has some unique and pristine vegetation which enabled it to successfully convert to nature reserve status which should hopefully protect it for generations to come.

This is one of my best experience in northern South Africa. I’ve spent here more or less two months with my family and everybody enjoyed that period. We stayed in a friend of mine villa … actually more a small village than a villa. One of the roughly 150 that populate the 10.000 hectares of private reserve. Here there are several kinds of game, a lot of different scenarios and a small are devoted to breeding.Amazing landscapes, rivers, valleys, wonderful sunset.

The Kudu Private Nature Reserve is without a doubt one of Mpumalanga's best kept secrets. I had the pleasure of spending a night shooting a property for sale and was very impressed with the environment.
