The sales rep goes around to various construction sites to secure business. Any promise to secure the business is made. Prices are competitive, but everything needs to be paid upfront before they deliver. I voiced my valid concerns about delivery in high winds as the sheets are 14m long and both the rep and his boss assured me that they will monitor the wind forecasts. So all the talk before delivery was very reassuring. But that's where it ended. The Macsteel truck showed up on a very windy day; so windy in fact, that HH's own sheets on their vehicle bent. I phoned the boss to voice my concern about this. Big mistake. His attitude was totally different compared to before (remember he has his money safely in the bank) and when I asked who was going to take the risk of damage until the sheets are safely delivered on site, he said he was not going to take responsibility. The Macsteel truck driver was getting impatient as well and started moving the sheets with his crane. One of the sheets was damaged on the truck by the crane operator. The two people sent by HH to supervise the off loading was also of no help as they were arguing with each other and the Macsteel staff. I had to supply 8 people to offload the sheets. This was a direct load from Macsteel to the site, which means that timing the delivery with a low wind day was actually just a lie, as the delivery is pushed from Macsteel's side (driver's words). My product was roughly handled which resulted in scratches. My calls to both the rep and his boss to come and assist were all met with lame excuses of being busy. To this day there has been no effort made by this company to address the damage issue. As an owner builder limited experience on roofing, they were less than forthcoming with info. For instance the quote would just read flashings plus an amount; it would not say how many meters, overlaps etc. So I would have no idea what to check in terms of quantities when delivered or erected. This is the worst Company i have ever dealt with. Service level for their customers is non excistand. You need to pay for stock upfront and then no feedback from them regarding your product you purchased from them. Once you call them, they take your number with the following sentence..... Let me find out where and how long your product will still be. Please give me your number and i will give feedback. 2 Days now still awaiting a reply with NO PRODUCT.....
