Dr CJ Spies

On the 23rd July 2022(Saturday) my mother went to the dentist to extract my brother's tooth. I gave my mother my Oyi medical savings card to pay. When she paid the lady who was helping her said the card was declining. My mother had to use her bank card to pay. After she left there an SMS came through on my medical savings card saying that the amount of R130 was approved at the dentist. I showed my mother the SMS then she said how come when the lady who was helping her said that the card was declining. We went back when we got there it was already closed. I called the number for emergencies that I saw on the board we were told to come on Monday. On Monday we went there I explained the situation. The ladies at the reception wanted to hear nothing even though I showed them the SMS, I even had to get a statement from my medical aid savings card even there it was showing that money was indeed deducted. I am very disappointed of how the two ladies at the reception dealt with the matter. They were going on as if we were making it up even though evidence was there. Luckily the Dr was willing to go an extra mile by extracting his bank statements to see. I then had to call my Medical scheme to ask them to refund me. They did.

Quick efficient dentist I used to go to as a child. Recently visited and still quick and good as usual. Dr Spies is very friendly.
