The Outpost Lodge, in Kruger National Park

What an experience, it was so amazing, the staff climbed into my heart so much so I had a lump in my throat when we had to say goodbye. The view, the food, everything was honestly spectacular. They made so much effort, can't wait to go back!

Fantastic experience. The rooms are brilliant. The service is very good and always friendly. The food was very good although the meat was slightly underwhelming compared the rest of the dish. The private concession means you get relatively private game viewing, brilliant for birding, not a big five region of the park. Guided drives are very good.

The outpost is a must stay. The rooms are fantastic and the river view is definitely worth it. The service is first class and they really do go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. Sam, the guide, is a walking encyclopedia so if you have a chance to take a ride with him - do it!The location doesn't make for seeing the big 5 very easily, but it does have plenty to see and the bush itself is quite magnificent.

Beautiful property. Great, experienced and informative guides. Friendly service. Amazing location and the views. The food is light and so tasty. This property is picturesque no doubt. Borders paradise.

A truly amazing experience. The unique landscape and ecological diversity of the area is unlike anywhere in the greater Kruger Park. A must visit for the true lover of natural beauty and conservation.

I am completely in love with this place and the people who work there. We saw a lot of animals (including birds, leopards and lions). But it was also great neimg able to enjoy beautiful sunsets with drinks!

first off the view is amazing. Overall very nice lodge with great staff. The area is known for its birding and the guides did their best to not disappoint (and they did not disappoint). Excellent food and very helpful kitchen and service staff. You wake up to coffee and tea and biscotti (with a great view) before your morning safari and breakfast when you get back, lunch is available for most of the day and then afternoon tea with hors d'oeuvre before sunset safari and drinks in the bush then back to the lodge for dinner. The guest liason or maybe manager, not really sure, was super sweet and always very helpful she welcomed us at check in and when returning from the safaris. She truly appreciates the wildlife and even shared an interesting story about a snake going after dinner and the guests watching for hours (something i would have done) she was very much a nature lover. Our guide johanes was knowledgeable and took the tours at a welcomed relaxing pace. He was always aware of what we were hoping to see and customized our safari routes to help us accomplish this. The biggest quirk for me was that they did not give us a room key. They did say we could request one but they did not have one for us at check in, the doors just stay open when you are gone. In addition they took our car keys to valet, again not necessarily required but was made to be standard practice. They do have a standard hotel safe in the room though. It is worth noting that we had zero issues during our stay. Nice well maintained pool and lounge areas. AND THE VIEW IS AMAZING.
