Amazing. Must visit whether you are a hiker or climber! We went to the end of winter/beginning of spring. It rained some but not too much and was quite warm some of the days!

Amazing hikes and walks. Recommend 4x4 for comfort although most untarred/gravel roads can be made with regular vehicles. You need to get permits from Cape Nature at various stations and in summer carry lots of water, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Start early if possible on day hikes so you avoid midday sun/heat. Buy permit day in advance so you can access hikes etc for early starts. Check difficulty levels if hiking with children. Maps available online or when you buy permits. Maltese Cross is 4-5 hour hike out and back - we powered up in about 1.5hrs so can be done quicker but worth allowing recommended times.

Camped at Algeria. Staff enjoyed the load shedding (do brooms need electricity?), but the bathrooms were clean. The Cederberg are an experience, a must whether by car or on foot! Ansolutely magnificent!

This according to me must be the most beautiful part of South Africa. The area has the most beautiful rock formations. Roads are gravel and at some places terrible, so no cars if you want to see the real beautiful spots. You need several days to see everything. Visit Cederberg oasis for something to eat and drink, or even stay over. Do not forget your camera or video recorder this place is out of this world.

A stunning and dramatically beautiful part of the Cape with a wonderful collection of endemic birds and wildlife to spot. In winter, it's exceptionally popular for its snow!

This area holds so much natural beauty. The rock formations are stunning with breathtaking views. The gravel road is quite easy to drive even with a small vehicle. Cederberg Wine Cellars have the most amazing award-winning wines. A visit to the stadsaal caves/rocks are a must. The 1000+ year old Khoi rock art is well preserved and one hope and pray that this will remain the case. Had an emotional experience standing at that spot.

Such a big area to explore with many sites, caves, waterfalls and views .... Please note that even though this road can be traveled by car best to visit area with a bakkie.Gravel roads are long, hot and dusty so mask and hat will be required.Trails are nice and steep so views are stunning.Check in with Cape Nature first as some routes or sites are behind locked gates and require permits
