Auto Monkey

I've been using Automonkey for several years and Darren is always a breath of fresh air and a pleasure to deal with. Not only is his workmanship great but he is honest about what is wrong and always gives me options for repair which allow me to make a decision based on my budget and with a clear understanding of the implications. His drive-to-you service is a game changer for me! He fetches my car at my convenience whether from work of home and communicates clearly about turn around times.I can recommend Darren without hesitation.

This mechanic is running his business in a residential area and the property is definitely not zoned for business use!The problems for residents are:- noise (during and after business hours) - He even advertises on his website that he will fix your car after dark (see screen shot) - Imagine the impact on the neigbours!- cars parked along the pavement for days (sometimes weeks) as they wait to be fixed- cars being worked on in the road- when he washes his workshop he high-pressure hoses down all the oil and brake fluid spills down the pavement which makes the whole road have a greasy dirty feel - not to mention the environmental impact!- he occasionally blocks the whole road when helping customers with their cars- increased traffic in what used to be a quite road- general nuisanceI would not recommend him as the premises and location is not suitable for this kind of business. Just book your car at a proper workshop

More outstanding work and professionalism from Darron. I must commend him on always giving realistic expectations of turnaround times, and consistently sticks to those times.i had serious issues with my duel consumption and sensor etc.My cars performance has increased significantly and fuel consumption is improved by at least 30 %. Recently had issues with my clutch cable and gearbox. Darren came around between Christmas and New Years to fetch the car, worked on it diligently to get it back to me and has done a fantastic job. Car drives like new. He also kept me updated at each stage of the process and delivered the car back to my house. 10/10 would recommend his friendly and professional services.

Darron works on cars at any time of day or night with no regard for neighbours and local residents. Cars are serviced on weekends and public holidays, cars park all along the road, people bang and shot at his gate to get his attention. Such a pain!
