Wonderful Cottage with everything you could possibly need. Will definitely be back!

Our 3 night stay at Moortop was fantastic. Cosy and clean accommodation with all the necessary creature comforts and amenities. The hosts' friendliness, care and attentiveness was unrivaled. Beautiful setting and great location. The internal fireplace is a winner.
Hint: The eastern cottage (first one upon arrival) receives spectacular sunrises over the orchards, bathing the deck in light - useful in the chilly winter mornings.

We stayed at the lovely Moortop Cottages while attending a wedding in the stunning Elgin Valley. The self catering cottages have been furnished with quality linen, are well equipped and spotless. Situated on a working apple farm, the owners are close by and always happy to help. The outside braai areas allow you to enjoy the fresh air and relax with family or friends! We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at Moortop. So peaceful and ideallic. We booked two cottages next to each other for 2 families with children (Panorama and Granny Smith cottages).The cottages themselves were very well appointed and nicely furnished and had everything we needed.For loadshedding there was also a small portable gas stove, extra bottled water and extra lamps if needed. There were two bedrooms (one with double bed and another with two singles) and they also had outside beams hooked up to an alarm for extra peace of mind.And The extra touches like rusks, coffee, tea and sugar were a cherry on the top.We loved every minute of it. The cottages are situated literally on the edge of the apple orchard a few meters away that they overlook, and you can walk through them with picturesque views of the mountains in the background.Each cottage has an indoor fireplace for keeping warm, and a lovely outdoor braai area as well which we enjoyed thoroughly while sipping wine overlooking the apple orchards. While the kids were safe, running around the grass area playing together.We also went for a swim in the dam and walked through the farm and orchards. So peaceful and ideallic.Rowena was friendly and gracious and we quickly felt like we'd known her for years after chatting.Thank you so much Rowena, we will definitely be very keen to return for another visit, and hopefully try out that jetty some time in the future. :)

Very relaxed weekend break away stay!Neat and comfortable cottages in a quiet and and scenic location close to many first-class restaurants, wine farms and other interesting places. Great hosts to top it all.

Views of the apple orchards, walks on the farm, listening to the breeze blowing through the trees, the fresh air, and the sounds of little sun birds visiting the flowers in the lush gardens, staying on a working farm does something for the soul!We stayed in the Panorama Cottage (sleeps 4), though it was winter, we had a little fireplace which warmed the whole cottage quite quickly.Rowena, the owner, is a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed in the cottage. There were little touches that made our stay even more comfortable. I'd recommend a stay at these gorgeous cottages if you plan on visiting the Elgin Valley!

Moortop was an absolutely amazing stay. The views and serenity of been amongst the orchards is so relaxing and a perfert place to unwind. The added little things just made our stay, such as nappy bins, firewood, milk, snacks, etc... The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and trump most 5 Star International Hotels! WE WILL BE BACK!!

Beautiful cottages located amongst the orchards. Cottages were neat, clean and tastefully furnished. Nice little touches like branded soaps, coffee and rusks and mozzie plugs made it extra special. Outdoor braai rooms fantastic. Would highly recommend.

A spot between the orchards which is great for the soul. Rooms are impeccably clean with thoughtful personal touches throughout. Other highlights include the location on a working farm in the heart of Elgin, close to wine farms and close enough access to town. Will certainly visit again.
