I got a Siamese fighter from here 4 years ago and he’s still living happily till this day. All there fish are happy and healthy , they a bit on the pricy side but it was still worth it. R190 for a betta was very expensive those years ago but now that’s normal price for a betta so I don’t know if it’s gone up. I would definitely recommend this shop. Very friendly staff.Edit: the 4 year old betta past away. I got a new betta from them yesterday and staff were moderately helpful. The betta is really healthy though. I just struggled to get him to eat

Great walk in shop, staff are eager to help and they give honest suggestions about what you should buy and dont just try selling you the most expensive hardware. Fish are all in great condition and staff would ask you if you have this or that fish in your tank when buying another fish that may eat them (Like assassin snail with rabbit snails) and they are passionate about the hobby, this is not just a business to them

I believe I have found that in Aqua Empire.I have come to know Richard as a formidable and respected businessman, which allows him to have good standing with his customers and suppliers, but with a kind and honest heart. The aforementioned traits will allow Aqua Empire to be around for the longhaul, for the benefit of us customers. Richard owed me nothing, but when I was in trouble, he helped me out as if I were a long-time friend. Richard will tell you the TRUTH about a fish type or product, not just try sell you stuff. Richard's store is inspiring to walk around as there are many top-end aquascape display tanks with rare fish inside. You will often come across rare species and unique hard-scapes here, as this is what he specialises in. Each time I visit Aqua Empire, there is always a nugget to be found.Rumour has it that they might set up a coffee bar in the near future; fish and coffee, a great combo!
